FAQs

Here are some of the most Frequently Asked Questions.  If you do not find what you are looking for, please Contact Me with any questions and I will get back to you ASAP.

Q:  Where can I buy Scentsy?
A:  You can Buy Scentsy Online, over the phone, or from your Scentsy Consultant.

Q:  What type of payments do you accept?
A:  You can Buy Scentsy with cash, check, or credit card.  If you Buy Scentsy Online, you will have to use a credit card.

Q:  How long do Scentsy Bars last?
A:  Scentsy Bars last a minimum of 50-80 hours, depending on the strength of the fragrance and how strong you personally like your scents.  Open windows, humidifiers, and house fans may alter the time the scents last.

Q:  What kind of light bulbs do Scentsy Warmers use?
A:  Scentsy Full-Size Warmers use 25 watt bulbs, Scentsy Mid-Size Warmers use 20 watt bulbs, and Scentsy Plug-In Warmers use 15 watt bulbs.  These light bulbs can be purchased online or from your Scentsy Consultant for $1 each.

Q:  What type of wax is used when making Scentsy Bars?
A: Scentsy uses a food-grade petroleum based wax because of its superior scent loading ability, melting point and firmness.  This wax does not release chemicals like the traditional wicked candle, including tea lights.  Scentsy Warmers only warm the scent out of the wax - the wax remains in the warmer, thus there is no danger of chemicals being released into the home.

No wick, no match, no flame, no soot, no smoke, and no wax evaporation!

Q:  What is food-grade petroleum wax?
A: Scentsy's food-grade petroleum wax is the same wax they spray on apples in the grocery stores to give them their shine.

Q:  What type of oil does Scentsy use in their candles?
A:  Scentsy uses key fragrance oil, which is the highest grade of oil, before processing.

Q:  Do I use a whole candle bar at a time?
A:  One Scentsy Bar comes in a clamshell with eight break-a-part cubes.  Choose your favorite scent, break off one or two cubes, and place them in your warmer.  Plug it in and turn it on, relax and enjoy.  You can add more cubes as time goes on or switch them out with another scent.

Q:  How hot does the wax get when warmed?
A:  The wax temperature is very low, just above body temperature.  The wax never gets hot enough to burn anyone since warmers are heated with low watt bulbs.

Q:  How do I clean the wax out of the warmer?
A:  While the wax is warmed, you can pour it into a disposable container, back into its original container, or simply wipe the warmer out with some paper towels.  You may also place the warmer lid in the freezer for 5-10 minutes and the wax will slide right out.

Q:  How much is shipping?
A:  Shipping is always free for home, basket and book parties with $150 or more in total retail sales.  Direct ship orders to individual customers in the United States (except Hawaii and Alaska), add 10%.

Q:  How long until delivery?
A:  Approximately two weeks from when the Scentsy party closes or an order is placed.
